Sheetlane ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our services available at sheetlane.com and through our applications (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect several types of information for various purposes:

• Account information. When you sign up using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Workspace and spreadsheet content. Any data you create, upload, paste, or import into Sheetlane, including spreadsheet rows, cells, AI prompts, and uploaded files.
• Integration credentials. When you connect a third-party service (Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, etc.), tokens are stored securely with our trusted integration infrastructure provider.
• Usage data. Information about how you use the Service, such as feature usage, AI credit consumption, action executions, error logs, and performance metrics.
• Cookies and session data. We use a session cookie (managed by iron-session) to keep you signed in.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process AI requests, integration calls, and action executions that you initiate.
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, billing, and support requests.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

When you use AI columns or other AI features, the prompts and the referenced row data are sent to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) to generate the output. We do not use your data to train AI models. Each provider has its own data handling policy, which we have reviewed for compliance with enterprise-grade privacy standards.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that operate critical infrastructure (cloud hosting, AI model providers, integration providers, payment processors), under strict contractual obligations.
• Other users in your workspace, according to the role-based access controls you configure.
• Authorities, when required by valid legal process or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Acquirers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, audit logging, role-based access control, and idempotency guarantees for outbound actions. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict processing of, or delete your personal data. Sheetlane is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
